What a brilliant place! Top notch service with ample staff which makes a nice change. Food came quickly and was lovely. Everywhere is spotless including the toilets. Highly recommend this place.
Brought my two boys (6 & 9) they were very impressed with the burgers. I liked that they were sourced through the local butchers. High quality and tasty. Very inexpensive, my steak pie was excellent. Bonus, casual environment meant I was comfortable, even when my boys were a little loud. Thanks for a lovely meal.
Called into Pickering on our coach trip last Tuesday. Spotless cafe and a good selection of food available. We had a cuppa and a cake and it was first class. Staff very pleasant and even carried the tray back to our table. The toilets are immaculate, never been to anywhere over the years that are as clean. Spoke to the lady who was cleaning in there and told her what a great job she was doing. This cafe is a credit to all the staff who work there, well done to every one of you.

We’ve been coming here annually for years and always superb standards. The portion sizes are generous, the food is hearty and delicious and the cakes are top class. The owners clearly put their heart and soul into the place. The toilets are squeaky clean too. Thanks Russell’s, see you next year!

Excellent breakfast in the cafe. We went in because it is dog friendly. Scrambled eggs good and the burger I had was excellent. Menu describes it as "local butcher sourced " and I'm sure it's made there. Loos are spotless
